WIGHTDRIVE is run by Island based instructor John Mitchell who first qualified as an Approved Driving Instructor in 2007. Initially working in Portsmouth, John has been based on the Isle of Wight for the last fifteen years.
John is now easing his workload down and is now currently working part-time towards retirement. Consequently, he is no longer training students from novice status through to their driving tests.
Our driver training is now entirely focussed on providing refresher lessons and mock tests. Remedial training can also be offered through to a practical driving test, subject to a suitable test standard of driving being achieved. Manual training is offered in our Vauxhall Corsa and automatic in our Honda Jazz. We can also offer training in a clients car, as long the appropriate insurance is in place.
John is CRB checked and regularly undertakes training and assessment checks. His aim is to provide a reliable service to all our students.
Training sessions take place on the Isle of Wight daytime Monday – Friday.
